Our Staff

The Rev. Dr. Henry S. Capers is a native of the Low Country. He is the son of the late Mr. William James Capers Sr. and Mrs. Elouise S Capers.

He is the pastor of St. Johns Baptist Church of Cameron, Sc. He was past Moderator of Old Ashley Baptist Association, Bibleway Baptist Church, New Birth Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church all of Summerville, SC. He also pastored Annivesta Baptist Church of Hollywood, SC and Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church of Charleston, SC. 

He is the proprietor of Aiken-Capers Funeral Home of Summverville, SC He is a Certified Mortuary Technician, Licensed Funeral Director, Notary Public for the State of South Carolina, and a member of the New Eden Lodge. A twenty year U.S. Navy Veteran where he specialized in shipboard Nuclear Reactor Repair.

His academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University; a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Divinity from the International Bible Institute and Seminary of Orlando, Florida. He also attended the Baptist College of Charleston (now, Charleston Southern University) and Cummings Memorial Theological Seminary, Summerville, SC.

He has travelled through out the United States and the world. Stops have included the Holy Land of Israel, Jerusalem and the place of King Solomon's Temple.

He is married to the lovely Carla Benjamin Capers. He resides in Summerville, SC
